Graphite Ring Gaskets are high-performance sealing components made from flexible graphite, sometimes reinforced with a stainless steel inner ring or insert to improve mechanical strength and stability. These gaskets are specifically designed for high-temperature, high-pressure, and chemically aggressive environments, providing reliable leak-proof sealing in industrial, petrochemical, and refinery applications.

Graphite’s unique properties—excellent thermal conductivity, chemical inertness, and low creep—make these gaskets ideal for sealing flanged connections, heat exchangers, valves, reactors, and pressure vessels. They are commonly used in RTJ flanges, raised face flanges, and custom flange applications.

CAF And NACF Cut Gasket

CAF (Compressed Asbestos Fibre) Cut Gaskets and NACF (Non-Asbestos Compressed Fibre) Cut Gaskets are precision-cut sealing components designed for flanged connections, pipe joints, valves, pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, and high-pressure / high-temperature equipment.
Both types of gaskets are manufactured by cutting gasket shapes from compressed fibre sheets, ensuring uniform sealing performance and dimensional accuracy.

While CAF gaskets contain asbestos fibres, modern industry increasingly prefers NACF gaskets, which are manufactured using aramid fibres, synthetic fibres, mineral fillers, and elastomeric binders, making them safer and compliant with global environmental and safety regulations.

2. CAF (Compressed Asbestos Fibre) Gasket — Technical Description

CAF gaskets are made from a mix of asbestos fibres, rubber binders (usually NBR/SBR), and inorganic fillers, compressed into sheets under high temperature and pressure. These gaskets offer good resistance to heat, steam, and moderate chemicals.

Technical Characteristics (CAF)
  • Material Composition: Asbestos fibre + rubber binder (NBR/SBR) + fillers

  • Temperature Range: Up to 250°C (depending on grade)

  • Pressure Rating: Suitable for low–medium pressure systems

  • Tensile Strength: Moderate

  • Sealing Performance: Good for steam, oils, fuels, mild chemicals

Typical Applications (CAF)
  • Aging plants & legacy machinery still approved for CAF

  • Low- to medium-pressure pipelines

  • Steam lines, compressors

  • Pump and valve joints
(Note: Many industries are shifting away from CAF due to health & regulatory concerns.)

3. NACF (Non-Asbestos Compressed Fibre) Gasket — Technical Description

NACF gaskets are engineered from aramid fibres, cellulose fibres, organic/synthetic reinforcement fibres, mineral fillers, and elastomeric binders such as NBR, SBR, EPDM, or high-temperature elastomers.
They deliver performance equal or superior to asbestos gaskets — without health risks.

Technical Characteristics (NACF)
  • Material Composition:

    • Aramid fibres

    • Synthetic fibres

    • Mineral fillers

    • High-performance elastomeric binder

  • Temperature Range: 200°C – 350°C (varies by grade)

  • Pressure Resistance: High-pressure industrial sealing

  • Mechanical Strength: Very high tensile strength & dimensional stability

  • Sealing Ability: Excellent sealing of steam, oils, fuels, chemicals

  • Chemical Resistance: Strong resistance to oils, hydrocarbons, solvents, alkaline media

Manufacturing/Processing
  • Precision cutting using CNC, die punching, water-jet, or manual tools

  • Accurate dimensional tolerance

  • Can be customized for DIN, ANSI, BS, IS standards

Die Cut Gaskets are precision-engineered sealing components produced by cutting sheets of rubber, non-asbestos, PTFE, silicone, or other elastomeric/composite materials into specific shapes and sizes using custom dies. These gaskets provide accurate dimensions, uniform thickness, and consistent sealing performance, making them ideal for static and low-dynamic sealing applications in industrial, automotive, and mechanical systems.

Die cut gaskets are widely used where custom-shaped sealing solutions are required, including flanges, pumps, valves, machinery, and electrical enclosures. They offer excellent chemical resistance, thermal stability, and mechanical durability depending on the selected material.

Rubber Cut Gasket

Rubber Cut Gaskets are precision-cut sealing components manufactured from high-quality elastomeric materials such as EPDM, NBR (Nitrile), Neoprene, Silicone, Viton (FKM), or Natural Rubber. These gaskets are designed to provide leak-proof sealing, vibration damping, and mechanical protection in a wide range of industrial, automotive, and mechanical applications.

Rubber cut gaskets are typically fabricated by cutting sheets or molded rubber materials into specific shapes and dimensions using manual dies, CNC machines, or water-jet cutting. They are ideal for applications where customized shapes, tight tolerances, and flexible sealing solutions are required.

High Temperature Gaskets

High Temperature Gaskets are specially engineered sealing components designed to maintain leak-proof performance in extreme heat conditions, typically above 200°C. These gaskets are manufactured from materials such as graphite, ceramic fiber, PTFE-filled composites, mica, and high-performance elastomers, selected for their thermal stability, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength.

These gaskets are ideal for boilers, heat exchangers, furnaces, pipelines, and chemical processing equipment where conventional gaskets would fail due to thermal degradation. High temperature gaskets provide excellent compressibility, recovery, and dimensional stability, ensuring safe and reliable sealing under prolonged exposure to high heat and pressure.
